Well, that's another Turkey Day come and gone. Yesterday was a day full of me helping mom and dad out in the kitchen with the huge Thanksgiving feast, and playing Guitar Hero with my brother.

We got the biggest turkey I've ever seen in my life. Mom placed an order with the Amish for a seventeen pound turkey, but when she went to pick it up the lady explained that the turkeys got a little bigger than expected this year, then handed her a twenty five pound turkey. And we have a tiny fridge, so it took up most of it.

It almost didn't fit in the roaster, and we had get up super early to put it in the oven and have it ready by dinner time.

Man, there was a lot of food. We're going to be having Thanksgiving for days over here, and I know with how huge that turkey is we're eventually going to have to give up and just make some turkey frame soup.

So, what am I thankful for this year? Family and friends, how fortunate I am to have a roof over my head and food to eat, and...oh I don't know. Everything I guess.

So on that anti-climactic note, Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!! :D

So I got tired of grinding/EV training in the wild and whipped out my level 100 Regirock, Registeel, and Regice to stomp all over the Elite Four. Now I can EV train to my heart's content without having the whole "YOU STILL HAVEN'T BEATEN THE GAME BRANDI" thing hanging over my head.

I plan on turning my pokemon into total beasts for the wifipokeleague. [:<

Mmm, delicious EV trained stats.

I swear I'll post something non-pokemon related next time.

I blasted my way through the Team Galactic base before heading up to Mt.Coronet. God, I hated that journey. It irks me if I don't have immediate access to Pokemon Centers, even though I always carry a fuckton of healing items on me.

So I got to the top of that damned mountain and jumped the two Team Galactic commanders (Female villains? In my pokemon games?) with the help of my rival. I just barely scraped by in that battle, and then the fight with the Galactic Boss was crazy. I destroyed his first two pokemon easily, but then he whipped out that damn Gyarados with earthquake. Most of my team has shitty defense, so he knocked out everything but my Staraptor. This would be a good time to mention that I was a team member short, since I used a level 20 dinosaur thing as an HM slave to get up the mountain. Anyway, I just barely managed to kill the Gyarados and use a max revive on my Alakazam.

At this point things start to get blurry, since I was so annoyed I was about to kill something, I had a horrible migraine that had decided to make it's presence known in the middle of the fight, and my eyes hurt like hell. I can't remember what he used as his last pokemon, but--oh wait, it was a Crobat. Yeah. So I brought out my Alakazam to hit it with some knarly psychic attacks. But somehow I knew it wouldn't be that easy. The damn Crobat knew bite, and critical hit me after I had only managed to get on Psybeam off. I'm saving that Psychic TM, dammit.

So I had to bring out my little dinosaur.

I used a max revive quickly to revive my Alakazam while the dinosaur got mauled, and brought it out when it fainted. This was it. It was down to the wire. The Crobat hit me with another bite, and my Alakazam barely hung on with 6 HP. I hit the fucker with a Psybeam, and killed it. With only my Alakazam left with 6 HP.

Then it was time to face Dialga.

I had planned on saving the Master Ball for something annoying like Cresselia, but at that point there was no way in hell I was going to be able to catch it without using the Master Ball. So I did. I named the Dailga Ticky, won a cool contest with it after I took some aspirin, and called it a night.

And that's the story of how I learned that I need to LEVEL THE HELL UP BEFORE FACING THE BIG BATTLES, JESUS CHRIST.

I'm totally digging Pokemon Diamond. At first I wasn't too keen on the new Pokemon--I still don't like a lot of them, really--but some have really started to grow on me.

My current team is:

Alfred - Prinplup - level 29
Nina - Staravia - level 29
Kazza - Alakazam - level 29
Rosa - Roselia - level 29
Silvia - Steelix - level 29
Dawn - Ponyta - level 29

I'm ditching the Ponyta ASAP. You have no idea how annoying it is trying to level that thing equally with my other Pokemon. Now I remember why I never put the effort into raising one before.

Now I've gotta get back to grinding.

Seriously, it's just BAM, GYM LEADER WITH LEVELS WAY HIGHER THAN YOUR POKEMANS LOL! I've run out of trainers to level on, now I'm just grinding in the wild. Woe. :'[

Teehee, I have a German Shieldon.

EDIT: I kicked Fantina's ass early today (the 30th) without leveling up anymore, so it's all good. Now it's on to the next Gym Leader. I already beat up my rival, and was shocked to find that it was a steel type gym. Haven't seen that since G/S/C.

And today I turn seventeen! It's a glorious day, sure to be filled with movies and pizza and gifts. I plan on going to see The Heartbreak Kid, because it's the only movie out right now near us that looks remotely interesting. I would have liked to see the one with the Russian mob, but it's not playing nearby anymore. I'll update this post once I see what I got oh god I sound horrible.

As the only friend on LJ I have who reads this journal has probably noticed, I haven't been on MSN lately. That's because I'm avoiding some people. I plan on making a new MSN handle and re-adding you, so I'll like PM on you Gaia or something once I do.

+The Beatles White Album (on CD of course, it's been serenading me as I play my pokemans.)

I decided it was about time for me to change my journal's layout. So here it is: GREEN EVERYWHERE.

For some reason I'm reminded of frogs.

Later on, I'll make a fancy image for my profile. I've also gotta come up with a plan for that LJ RP I was thinking of dragging some people I know in on.

Tick-tock, tick-tock, oh baby forget the clock~

EDIT: Also...

You have to admire the writers of Gurren Lagann. Never before have I actually screamed "FUCK YOU!" at my computer.

EDITEDIT: Scratch the RP idea, I've found another RP to amuse myself with.

I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows yesterday. Or was it the day before? At any rate, I finished it, and I loved it. With that, the book series I loved the most when I was a child has come to a close. Rowling has redeemed herself for making most of book six filler.

Gurren Lagann seventeen exceeded my expectations, which were high to begin with. I don't know how they managed to fit so many plot twists into one episode without making it move too fast, but they pulled it off.

I finally managed to track down Darker than Black thirteen and fourteen. I was close to tears near the end of fourteen.

Another thing I finally managed to get my greedy little mitts on is Pokemon Diamond. Call me a nerd, dork, geek, or any other kind of insult you can think of, but I don't think I'll ever lose my love for Pokemon. It'll always be one of those things close to my heart, like Harry Potter. Ah, nostalgia.

My current team. I'll be switching out the Machop as soon as I find something better. I'm not too big on fighting type Pokemon. The Abra is wasting space in my team right now, since it's only move, as usual, is Teleport. I'm going to be patient with it, though.

I'm not quite sure why I'm even posting all of this. Or why I've posted any of my other entries, for that matter. It's not like anybody else reads them.

I suppose that's like asking why someone would keep a diary if they're going to be the only ones to read it.

I suppose I'll give a brief summary of everything I've watched/read over the past couple of days.

The Green Mile: An excellent movie. One of the best I've ever seen. I cried at the end, anyone who doesn't isn't human.

The Messengers: A mediocre movie. Not really worth watching.

Mississippi Burning: That deputy deserved to be slapped around a little more. Other than that, another good movie.

Transformers: Awesome. The special effects were top notch, you had to remind yourself that the robots weren't real. The only thing disappointing about it is that you can't possibly get the same awe inspiring effect on a smaller screen.

Gurren Lagann: Nothing could possibly be more epic than episodes fourteen and fifteen. I'm not exaggerating. Watch them yourself.

Lovely Complex: I want to hit Otani until he stops being stupid.

D.Gray-man: I love this manga. More than Naruto, which isn't doing too well right now. I finally read it up to the latest chapter. I highly recommend it, it's story is excellent, the action is great, and the art style is probably the best I've seen in shounen manga. Really, I haven't seen another mangaka who is so good at portraying emotions. It could be because she's a woman.

Other than that, I don't really have much to add to this update. I'm going to pick up the new Harry Potter book today, but that's about the only interesting thing I'll be doing.

Today was a pretty average day. I'm glad that my recent junk with feeling light headed and drained of energy has passed, knock on wood.

Note to self: Continue writing your story, you lazy blob of unmotivated gelatinous weaboo 4chan addict. Seriously, this is getting ridiculous.

I've also got to finish re-reading the sixth Harry Potter book before Sunday, however reluctant I am to do so. Reading random plot devices that seem to have been thought of at the last minute, and poorly planned romance makes me nauseous.

Rocks fall, everyone dies is all I'm expecting from the next book. Really, Rowling, after the last book I've lost faith in you. You're better than that.

And now for something completely different.

An Ode To Knock Off Cheese Nips

Oh! Value Cheese Nips, how delicious (and inexpensive!) you are.
I could never count the ways that I love thee.
My family looks down on me for devouring you before they can, but how can they blame me with your

goodness taunting me whilst I forage for food!
It is a hopeless to try to give you up.
I surrender.
You've caught me.
I just pray that your inexpensive ingredients won't cause my painful, untimely death in the form of cancer.

Jesus, I need to get to sleep. I think I'm delirious.
